Derrick Favors recorded a career-high 16 points (6-of-11 FG) Monday night against the Knicks—the team he was often tied to for most of the year before being traded to Utah. In addition to his 16 points, Favors also had eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 25 minutes before fouling out.
Unfortunately, the Jazz suffered a 22-point loss (131-109) at the hands of Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire who each scored over 30 points.
For Favors, this was his best performance since joining the Jazz. His previous Jazz best was 10 points against the Pistons, and while with the Nets he once scored 14 points against the Nuggets.
The Jazz are now 2-5 since trading PG Deron WIlliams to the Nets.
