Greg Monroe is one of a handful of rookies whose play has improved since the new year and last night was a great example of what he is capable of. Yes, the Pistons are in some weird kind of funk right now with the lineup changes and what they’re doing to Rip Hamilton, but Monroe is benefiting from whatever is going on so keep it up Pistons.

Last night, as the Pistons took on the Nets in New Jersey, in a game that somewhat pitted the 2010 NBA Draft’s number 3 pick against the number 7 pick, Monroe out-shined Favors. Monroe finished the game with a career-high 20 points on 10-of-14 from the field, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in 42 minutes. He also recorded his sixth double-double of his career. Favors, on the other hands, played in only 20 minutes and managed just four points and five rebounds.
